SUMMARY

SfN's Information Strategy & Business Analysis (ISBA) department focuses on the management and implementation of information technology with business process excellence to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

You will collaborate with a diverse group of talented peers and business stakeholders, identify business needs, work through challenges, and deliver impactful business solutions.

Acting as a liaison between business units and IT, you will facilitate process modeling and research efforts, identify and correct process issues in new and existing applications, and work across departments to support SfN's analysis and technology implementation efforts in various projects. Responsibilities:

Process Improvement

  • Serve as a business consultant to internal stakeholders in projects related to technology, business processes, and data integrity.
  • Gain understanding of key functions and processes throughout the organization to provide business analysis that identifies policy, process, or product enhancement opportunities
  • Maintain engagement with departments post-implementation to measure and monitor transition and identify further improvement opportunities. Provide ongoing support to stakeholders and ISBA team as needed.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend solutions to meet current and future business needs.
  • Preferred familiarity with an AMS/CRM implementation specifically, requirements gathering, testing, and user adoption.II.

Knowledge Management Leveraging SharePoint

  • Create pages, sites, site collections, forms, and workflows using out-of-the-box options in SharePoint.
  • Support internal stakeholders, conduct testing, trouble-shoot issues.
  • Increase user adoption, provide training and support the organization-wide SharePoint training strategy.
  • Collaborate well with project team members and users to enhance functionality for SharePoint sites.
  • Develop familiarity with out of box customizations, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and Nintex forms and workflows.

Communications

  • Engage with stakeholders in a collaborative style. Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and address uncertainties through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Prepare actionable and decision ready memos, business cases, functional requirements, process workflows, formal updates, and other key communications to various audiences
  • Be a strong advocate for change management. With focus on the "people" aspect of change, advocate for the successful adoption of new processes and systems.

New Opportunities and Business Case discovery

  • Conduct preliminary investigations for project requests. Consult with business and IT stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into relevant documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date on in-house tools and technologies, as well as to those in the market, that will help in the management of projects, information, and productivity
  • Perform benchmarking activities with peer associations to identify industry-wide best practices
  • Coordinate the Request for Proposal process, develop and validate requirements, identify potential vendors, and facilitate contract review process and selection

Minimum Requirements Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Business, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience required; Association and/or other non-profit experience a plus
  • MS Office Suite proficiency and a drive to learn new systems are critical

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SharePoint Management:
    • Experience with creation of pages, sites, site collections, forms, and workflows using out-of-the-box options in SharePoint.
    • Experience with testing and troubleshooting with internal stakeholders.
    • Experience with increasing user adoption, providing training, and support with organization-wide SharePoint training strategy.
  • Demonstrated self-sufficiency, organization, and discipline to handle multiple projects across different teams and content areas with attention to planning, budget, implementation, and client hand-off
  • Broad knowledge of process improvement methodologies. Experience in documentation and requirements gathering, including functional and business requirements, process flows, process modeling techniques, and workflows.
  • Proficiency with business software tools, including MS Office application suite, with strong focus on SharePoint. Experience with association management systems, CRM, data analysis and reporting software, and content management systems preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills to produce clear and compelling reports with analysis and recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to work effectively with colleagues and outside vendors.
