SUMMARY


Manages the production of online and print communications delivered through BrainFacts.org.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Develops and monitors timelines, production schedules and editorial calendars.
  • Reports on editorial production and product progress.
  • Supports the org Content Manger in the coordinates writers and freelance science journalists, videographers and video animators, podcasters, illustrators, and editors to create original content.
  • Works with writers and producers to manage online and print communications products and coordinates scientific vetting to ensure accuracy.
  • Assists in online production reviews, ensuring content is complete prior to publications scheduling.
  • Responds to public inquiries as needed.
  • Researches and obtains appropriate scientific imagery for use in articles and publications and manages permissions for image use.
  • Manages vendor contracts, invoices, translation agreements, and order fulfillment for various materials.
  • Assists in preparation and dissemination of materials for meetings and ongoing projects for org's Editorial Board and assigned committees.
  • Supports the needs of the Public Communications & org department in outreach or media related efforts.
